Victoria Regina, issued in 1983 for 5, is the second doll in the Great Queens of England series of Franklin Mint Heirloom dolls. This 19-inch doll is crafted of bisque porcelain with hand painted features. She is dressed is a gown of ivory satin trimmed with lace. Her cape is ruby red velvet lined in ivory satin and trimmed with gold. She comes with her own stand and a certificate of authenticity.This doll is in excellent condition and comes with her original box. brochures, and paperwork. She comes from a smoke free home.
Victoria was only eighteen when she succeeded to the throne upon the death of her uncle William IV. She was a tiny woman, barely 5 feet tall and quite beautiful. Her popularity was enormous and she reigned for 64 years, bearing nine children and outliving her beloved husband Albert. Her long reign ended upon her death in 1901.
