    Description

    This a cute E flat soprano clarinet believed to be a Selmer.   An expert informs me it is similar to those of German manufacture. The original case, however, is clearly of older quality U.S. production.  The body is not marked except for a very low serial number (4956).  Mouthpiece is Selmer.
    Barrel rings and key design match that of Selmer clarinets.
    Bell and barrel are grenadilla wood while the center section is a bakelite/resonite-type material.   There are no apparent cracks or defects noted throughout the body and the tone holes appear in excellent condition.
    Plays easily with a sweet tone.
    The horn comes with a well-made hard case (with U.S. hardware) that appears to be from the 1960's or earlier.
