ESCRIPTION:
Scans show it all.....nice looking vintage metal clarinet. Typical finish for such instruments, which I assume is silver plated. Not sure of age, but I believe it is from 1920-30 or so. It is marked on the bell "Belvox, Made in Italy", with a serial number of 29581.
Missing mouthpiece and like many, it has no case, both of which could be replaced. Otherwise appears to be complete and a nice early instrument. It has a slight curling at the edge of the bell which would not affect its playability. I am not a musical specialist, but can see nothing else to indicate that it is not playable, although I can make no guarantees. I believe an experienced musician could make this play well, and at the very least it is an excellent candidate for restoration, parts, or use as a decorator.
A nice looking, vintage instrument that would also make a great decorative piece in a variety of places in a collection. Over a door, over a fireplace, or elsewhere on a wall or shelf or
on a mantle, etc.
Measures just over 21" long overall. A nice early instrument and an interesting clarinet.
