Vintage African Cowrie Shell on Painted hide panel 6x14 inches

Description

This listing is for a Vintage African Cowrie Shell sewn on Painted hide panel using poly strands of a twine, measuring 6 inches by 14 inches not including the loop on top, weighing 154 grams.
The bottom end is shredded and made into tassel form. Roughly about 200 Cowrie shells sewn on this panel. The strands used are plastic strands from a twine and probably what amounts to the trash that washes up in the coasts that they have made this.
The ground hide is painted a pinkish color some of which has faded.it is creased as shown.
I am not sure if this serves any purpose or if there is some significance to it . It is meant as a hanging.

It will be shipped 3 folded to reduce package size and shipping costs. It has been kept that way and the hide is not dry or brittle. It will be padded for shipment.

All shipments will be Insured with the exception of specific items listed to be shipped by Postal First Class Mail or Media Mail which will travel Uninsured at buyer's risk. I pack extremely well.
On International shipments: First Class Shipments cannot be insured and therefore will not be used except if you email me and request addition of First Class to shipping options and accepting full responsibility for loss / damage / non delivery or any other mishap in very clear words and understanding that should something go wrong , you might lose what you have paid for item and its shipping. I  save a copy of shipment receipt which you can ask for a copy of anytime during transaction period and within reasonable time afterwards ( 60 days). So if you want shipping by first class, send me an email requesting it and accepting faults and I will add a First Class option to the listing for you.
