Description

Norwich Terrier originated in England and is the prick-eared version of the Norfolk Terrier. This breed is the smallest of the Terrier Group measuring 9-10 inches tall at the withers and weighing 11-12 pounds. Life expectancy of a Norwich is 12-15 years with some growing as old as 19 years old. For such a small breed, they have had many names such as Cantab Terrier, Trumpington Terrier and Jones Terrier, but all the while their purpose remained the same hunting rats and bolting fox. The Norwich coat required regular grooming including brushing and stripping. In America the Norfolk and Norwich Terrier share one parent club, the Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club (NNTC). The AKC recognized the Norwich Terrier as a separate breed, in the Terrier Group in 1936. This breed is very people oriented and does well in earth dog, agility and obedience work.Standard Figurine: This Norwich Terrier dog figurine features a standing Norwich Terrier.
