Production Method: For this pure handmade we use locally grown grasses such as sisal and sweet grass. Sisal fiber is extracted from the plant, hand-dyed and pine needles woven with ability and patience around sweet grass.

Hand Woven on the beautiful hills and valleys of Rwanda (Butare, Muhanga) by our local artisans , this stunning basket comes in unique colors and patterns. For this pure handmade we use locally grown grasses such as sisal and sweet grass. Sisal fiber is extracted from the plant, hand-dyed and pine needle woven with ability and patience around sweet grass. Depending on design complexity, it takes three to four days to create this work of art. Each basket has a loop on the back, making it easy to hang on a wall. For use, you can mix them for an awesome wall basket collage, entryway bowl, as a table or furniture display or as a gift (definitely a hit of a gift). Makes a great accent to your home decor.
