    Description

    This is a traditional wedding basket, given from mother to daughter on her wedding day to symbolize the wife feeding the family. This basket is made by the Maasai ethnic community in Kenya and is approximately 8 ½” wide from point to point at the top, 3” wide at the base and 3” tall. It is made of wire strung with glass beads in stripes of cornflower blue and multicolors and is in excellent condition from a non-smoking home.
