FRANKLIN MINT PORCELAIN DOLL- GREAT QUEENS OF ENGLAND SERIES QUEEN ANNE

Description

Offered here is a lovely porcelain doll by Franklin Mint, she is part of the Heirloom dolls of the Great Queens of England and is Queen Anne (Stuart) – born 2/6/1665 –8/1/1714.  She ruled over England, Scotland and Ireland and was instrumental in the unification of Scotland and England as Great Britain. She is 21” tall, the shoulder head, arms and legs are made of bisque porcelain with firmly stuffed cloth body and wire armature for ease of positioning.  She has dark brown painted eyes, dark brunette hair and is dressed in maroon velvet gown with white land gold brocade underskirt, lace rushing and pearl trimmed headpiece.  She is dressed in apricot brocade gown with lace, gold and pearl trim and wears a satin lined royal blue velvet cape with ermine trim, lace trimmed petticoat and pantalettes.  Her crown is gold with dark blue velvet body and side combs to secure to the head and she holds her golden orb.  There is no box or paperwork but this doll had been owned by an adult collector of high end “modern” porcelain dolls and had been stored in glass display case.
