GORGEOUS Franklin Mint Porcelain Scarlett O’Hara bride doll from “Gone With The Wind.”
I am the original owner, and she is in excellent condition. The dress for this fine bisque porcelain doll is the truest likeness to the gown of the film, of any of the dolls!! It’s amazing.
Scarlett was wearing her mother Ellen’s gown so it had supposedly “yellowed!” In reality this doll dress is simply a pure, lovely ivory. The leaves are exquisitely detailed, all fashioned after the Walter Plunkett masterpiece!!
Her delicate hands (and the porcelain ivory gloves) are just perfection. The face is very sweet and pure, hand painted and delicate, like Vivien Leigh is.
I hate to part with this doll..!! It’s been a long decision to start to sell a few of these treasures. They don’t and won’t make them ever again, sadly. It’s a bygone art... only a dream remembered...
I need to sell a few, though....
