    Description

Civil War US soldier sixth plate tintype in full leatherette case. The soldier appears to have five-year service stripes on the cuffs of his dress coat (frock coat). The round white pin on his chest could possibly be a corps badge for Second Division, First Corps, Army of the Potomac. Very clear image with no damage. Overall size in the case 3 1/2 inches by 3 inches. The leatherette case is in very good shape. The original hinge has separated and is reinforced with tape. The velvet pad has a couple of scuff marks.
