c1880 Tintype of 2 Rough Looking Dudes, William & Samuel

Description

This is a tintype photo of two young man wearing hats and tall boots. The photo was found with some others taken in Hiawatha, Kansas so I presume it’s from that same location (I added this location in pencil on the front). An ink inscription on the front reads, “Old Timers Don’t know who they are.” Their names, William and Samuel, are written in pencil on the mount beneath the image. The photo was taken right around 1875-85. Mount has some damage. Tintype itself is in good condition with good contrast and clarity. Overall size: 2 ½” x 4”.
