  • Condition: Pre-owned vintage hand-woven coiled nesting baskets with loop pull lids. Five baskets in clean and very good condition. One basket without a lid, all baskets shown in pics. Weaving in very good condition. Green colored decorative weave within. Not sure of their origin. Some bottoms seem slightly bulbous and are hard to stand up as they were also empty when photographed. I'm not an expert in baskets and weaving. Some people can identify them right away, I'm not one of them, so feel free to give me advice via a question, on identifying them. For now, just selling them in their condition without origin. You see what your bidding on with your personal knowledge. Sold in "as is" , "as pictured" condition without knowledge of origin. Beautiful pieces with weaving being very small.

    Description

    This set of nestled baskets are a cream color and have green decoration in middle.  All are hand-made with cone shaped lids with small pulls as not to soil the baskets from hand pulling. All lid measurements Do Not include the pull in the measurement.
    Largest basket is 4" in diameter, 4" deep, base around 2",  lid 4 1/2" tall.
    2nd basket 2 3/4" in diameter,  2 1/2" tall, base 1/ 3/4", lid 3 1/4" tall.
    3rd basket 1 7/8" in diameter, 2" tall, base 1 1/4", no lid.
    4th basket 1 1/4" in diameter, 1 1/4" tall, 3/4" base, lid 1 1/2" tall.
    5th basket 3/4" in diameter, 7/8" tall, 1/2" base, lid 3/4" tall.
    Was found in an estate of a pastor and found with African and American Indian artifacts.  No notes or messages with the baskets.  So I am unsure of it's tribal origin, whether African or native American tribe, or other.
